The Eagle Scout Outdoorsman Knife

A Blade of Respect & Honor

I won't make this knife for just any Eagle Scout, but when I do, it's because that scout has earned it. While certainly not an official trapping of the Scouting America program, my Eagle Scout Outdoorsman Knife is meant to commemorate the scout's accomplishments and be a companion they carry into the wilderness and adulthood as the outdoorsman they have become.

To qualify the Eagle Scout must have also earned the following merit badges*:

  • Wilderness Survival
  • Hiking or Backpacking
  • Archery, Shotgun or Rifle Shooting
  • Fishing
  • Indian Lore
  • Orienteering
  • Canoeing or Kayaking
  • Climbing
  • Nature

*Some substitutions including life experience at programs like Outward Bound may be allowable on a case-by-case basis. I'm not an ogre, but I do need to be convinced that the knife is going to a scout I can respect - one who is competent and confident in the great outdoors.

Contact me to discuss your scout's qualifications and scout-friendly pricing. If your troop is located in or near Central Jersey and scheduling permits, I may even be available to present the knife at their Eagle Court of Honor.
